Toasted chickpeas

Ingredients

The ingredients necessary for the preparation of the roasted chickpea recipe are:

dried chickpeas (1 bag) or, alternatively, a pack of pre-cooked chickpeas;

spices to taste;

sale;

olio.

Preparation

To make toasted chickpeas we recommend using dried chickpeas which keep the original flavor unaltered. Alternatively you can also use pre-cooked chickpeas.

soak the chickpeas in water and bicarbonate for a whole night (skip this step in the case of pre-cooked chickpeas);

after having drained and dried them, pour them into a bowl together with two tablespoons of olive oil (perhaps flavored with garlic or chilli), salt and your favorite spices;

mix them delicately and repeatedly, pour them onto a baking tray covered with baking paper and cook in a preheated oven at 200 degrees in static mode for about 35 minutes;

stir them from time to time to ensure they cook evenly;

turn on the grill and let them cook for another 5 minutes or until they are evenly toasted.

once they are nice and "crispy", remove them from the oven and let them cool.
